Hakuna Matata

Has it ever happened to you to be sat down and have a sudden realization that you don't know who you are anymore? Maybe you're studying for a biology exam that's coming up soon or just watching a movie about a kid who discovered a new world through a closet and suddenly you're faced with this god awful truth that what ever you're doing, you're doing through the eyes of someone else. As if you were nothing but a bystander of your own life. You can't remember how or when you've gotten to the point where the person that stares back at you in the mirror is nothing but a stranger. You put on your smile every morning with care just as others are applying their make up to start their day. It's as if nothing feels right anymore and even if it did, you're too caught up in your pretending to notice. You do everything in your power to make sure no one notices how broken you feel, and when you get home you feel like shit because you've succeeded. See t…

Love is over rated

It is not a surprise that people can be hella scary. You never know what’s going through someone’s mind. They could be murderers, rapists, psychos, sociopaths and the list goes on. But you see, in my opinion, the scariest people aren’t the ones who threaten you, or abuse you. The scariest people are the ones who make you forget who you are. Those people with whom you feel like you can do anything without ever having to think of the consequences. These are the people to fear because by the time you’ve remembered again who you were you’re someone you never thought you could be.
“I used to recognize myself, it’s funny how reflection changes. When we’re becoming something else I thinks it’s time to walk away” James Bay.
We sometimes meet those people that seem to make life worth living for a while, those rare people we actually picture a future with. Those people you can’t even remember meeting or getting close enough with to put your heart out there and trust them with everything you have…

Empty

If there is one thing I know I learned from this World, it’s that we’re always trying to see ourselves through the eyes of someone else. Everything about us is defined by someone else’s mindset. And as much as we want to pretend like it doesn’t faze us, it still does and denying it doesn’t make it any less true. But why is it that other’s opinion is so damn important to every last one of us? Why do we feel the need to categorize every thing and everyone? Why is it so important to put a label on everything? Well the answer is pretty easy actually. Putting a label on something defines the way you’ll treat it. Object. You can use it and throw it when you’re done. Animal. Small being to which you choose to show respect but will always be considered lower than you, in fact it is weird even comparing the two. Human. Someone with dignity to whom you should show respect. Right? But it doesn’t always work that way. See, the world cannot work in chaos so we create rules and laws. Why? Because w…

Where to go

You know that feeling when your mind is shouting but words just won’t come out? That tingling sensation in your spine forcing you to write something but it’s like you forgot how to move your fingers while you’re staring at a blank page? And it’s so frustrating because you know you have lots to say but it’s like words are stuck in a far away place in your brain. Well that is my state pretty much all of the time for the exception of those rare nights when my mind and my brain decide to call it truce and come together allowing me to express my feelings. So here I am tonight, writing about all those things that make me want to punch a whole into a wall because there’s not much I can do about them. The World is an awful place to live in but it is our job to make the best out of it. See after going through so much you realize that life isn’t about what is wrong or right. There is no such thing. It is only about what is and what isn’t, the rest is nothing but an illusion, a fiction we create…
